I Love to See the...

TEMPLE!

The kids go every year to the temple to just visit and walk around the amazing grounds. It is a primary field trip, and they love going every summer. They follow up with a lunch at a nearby park.

Judith in Canada...

I had a friend from Spain, Judith who needed a roof over her head for four weeks while in Vancouver, BC. I have ONE friend in Vancouver. Enter Courtney. Courtney and I have been friends since junior high school. BFF to be exact. I contacted her for help finding a place for Judith and she volunteered to host her at her house. I was lucky enough due to my mom's kind babysitting offer to go spend a day with them in Vancouver!

We went to the beach and it was windy and beautiful. We had a nice time walking around and ate dinner outdoors and then polished off some gelato for dessert. It was wonderful fun combining time with friends from such different parts of my life! And now they are friends of course too!

Courtney's daughter, Chanelle.
Denman, Courtney's son was NOT into my picture taking efforts.

For the kids to be buried inWe havw been in Mccall, ID all week. I will have a full post about our vacation and Hamm Family Reunion "soon", but here are some pics I took with my phone on the beach the other day.

I love McCall...

Ahhhhhh McCall. I love McCall. Here is the annual post about our awesome time there... We got there on Saturday night, so on Sunday we just took it easy, went to church and settled in. Amanda brought a cute devotional idea that got the kids involved making cookies.

Hailey's cute, toothless smile.
We were there for the 4th of July again, which is so fun! We literally fill the end of the dock with chairs and enjoy the firework show that takes place downtown.

Trey (Trina's son) rowing out to watch the fireworks.

Heather, Robb and Carson.
Ruby and Jayden (Trina's youngest).
Jeff and Jane.
Fireworks.
We made an evening trip over to the infamous, Ice Cream Alley one night. The super adorable girl with the curly hair isn't from our family...but don't I wish I could claim her! Here is Ruby, Alice, Jayden and Emma sitting on the bench swing enjoying their ice cream.
Adeline was not missing out on this treat!
The older cousins that were in McCall too...Amaya and Syveah (Trina's oldest two) and my actual cousins...McCall (yes I have a cousin named after McCall), Sydney and Hannah.
We celebrated several birthdays in McCall...the biggest was Adeline's first birthday...but she was so tired and not feeling the cake that we didn't get the full show from her. She's such a cutie!
All thirteen grand kids in the shirts that Oma and Opa bought them in Hawaii.
These pictures go from underexposed to overexposed...love my cheapie camera! I fell in love with this Bee swimsuit for Betsey, and she looked cute in the suit but refused to wear the sun hat that went with it...there are cute sandals too...all so cute...but "BEASTIE" wouldn't wear them.
Snacking on the beach: Mason and Alice.
Amanda and I stayed longer than our hubbies and so it was she and her two young boys and my three on the drive home. Let's just say that the 8.5 hour trip took us 11 hours. It was the kind of awful that you just laugh about once you are removed enough from the experience. Amanda...next summer will be better? Hahahaha.

Horse Camp 2011

Ruby loves riding horses, and she looks forward to horse camp all year long. This year, she hit the first session, the end of June and it was nice for me not to worry about dehydration or sunburns. She enjoyed herself so much more this year because she was joined by her long time bestie, Kiley. She also had her friend Jensen's cousin Rachel there and they hit it off really well too.

She had fun being the most experienced rider at camp during her session. She got to demonstrate what a canter is for the whole group and their end of camp wrap up. She loves horses! She spent the week sharing Mia (the horse in all the pics) with Kiley.
