Honk!

The girls were in another production by Puyallup Children's Theater. It was a musical called, HONK, and is a spin off of the story The Ugly Duckling. It was entertaining for sure and I fell in love with the ugly duckling. He was so cute! This was Ruby's third show and Alice's first. Alice isn't very performey, so she really just wanted to go along with the experience and have a really small part. As it was, she had like four little lines and she was on stage a bunch singing with groups. She was sheepish and uncomfortable at times, but she made my mama heart proud and she did a good job! Ruby is a good performer, and is more at home in the bright lights. She had a bigger part this time and I thought she did a great job and it was so fun to see her on stage more!

The cousins made it down for the show...Emma, Sarah, Hailey and Bets. The cousins came with Oma, who brought little treat bags and homemade popcorn snacks in individual bags for the kids. So thoughtful!
There's Ru on the far right of this shot.
Alice is sitting on the right...so cute!
Alice, taking it very seriously!
Alice again...that is the to die for ugly duckling on the far right of the bench.
My camera wasn't ready for this shot, but Alice was on and off so fast! She's so cute!!

Alice hiding...
Ruby back on stage, right under a light so she's seriously glowing as she performs! I didn't get many pics of Ru on stage. I wasn't supposed to take pics during the show for no reason (they weren't even selling pics by a professional, so I thought it was dumb...I mean I wasn't using a flash!), so it must have been less obvious to do so when Alice happened to be on stage. I don't remember.

I loooooove that face of Alice's. This is the "I can't believe I'm doing this but I'm so glad I am" face.
A few shots of the cast at the end...when we were allowed to take pics!

I got Ru to move closer to Alice.
Happy little performers!
Ruby and Alice with their fans. Chris went on a different night from me so that I could leave Leo home.

Oma also bought flowers for the actresses. So sweet!

Doug's family visited!!

Doug and Heather and their sweet, young family came to visit us when Leo was two weeks old. We were so happy to meet the twins, Hailey and Miles, who were ten months old! I didn't take a lot of pics due to having a two week old, but I know there are others out there and I hope I can add to what I post here before I print the 2013 blog book! They were here almost a full five days, and we did a few fun things together. One day, we went to Bradley Lake Park by our house and sat around. Chris and Doug biked there with the kids and Heather and I drove over with the babies. We enjoyed the nice weather and the kids played at the park and rode bikes around the lake.
Can't ever get enough of this girl!
Leo is darn cute, just laying around. His first trip to the park ever!

I love these shots of Chris oogling Leo and Betsey joining in...but can we find something that isn't fluorescent for the next time we do something so cute? Sheesh. This construction garb is getting really old!

Miles and Hailey chillin' in their stroller. They are such cuties! I didn't get to be very hands on with them because if my hands were free, I was all about them staying that way! I adored them from afar and was impressed by their easy dispositions.

Watching Caitlin and Betsey was the highlight for all of us, I believe. They were buddies. Right away. It was very cute and almost past the point of lots of toddler competition. They did really well playing together. They have very different personalities. Betsey never stops talking, directing and verbally just running at the mouth. Caitlin is more reserved and is capable of saying anything but chooses her words more carefully and she examines things intently and with great curiosity.
Couldn't get enough of this shot...
Betsey wore herself right out.
I believe this is Caitlin and Betsey walking into church together. So cute!
