Bee at six months...

I'm super behind on my blogging, and I'm going to file my old posts by the right date, so new posts may be under this post once I post them...got it? I just can't keep depriving Grandma and Grandpa Pierce of these fun things that Bee is doing at six months.

At six months, Bee weighs sixteen and a half pounds (60th percentile) and is 28.5 inches long (way off the charts). She is eating some baby food...she likes carrots, peas and pears so far (the pics below are of her first food, apples...and she hated them, as you can see...we fed her first food to her on August 27th in McCall, at the cabin).

She can get up on her hands and knees and rock back and forth, it's so cute! She can really travel, though it seems kind of unintentional, like she doesn't really realize that he. She has fallen off of quite a few surfaces, and luckily never been really hurt (this is not taken lightly, I think she's fallen at least twice under the supervision of all four of her family members...maybe a few extra times for some of us).
She got to be a model for the first time (I know, so fancy) at a photoshoot that I got to shoot for a new clothing line that my friend Kate Quinn is doing. She was super cute! I love these pics of her!! She is wearing the beautiful clothing designed by Kate, these pics are for the Spring '11 collection, but her current stuff is seen at www.plumbunny.net...and for sure I will be posting someday when Bee's face is on the site (if it is ever there).



She's such a fun baby! I adore her!

A new addition...Roxy the kitten.

Shouldn't there be a rule that you don't ambush other parents by posing out of the question opportunities to their children with no warning? So we were at piano one week and there was a basket on the ground with a blanket over it. I didn't think much of it, but when class was over, she revealed that she had three fixed, 7-week old, kittens in the basket. Oh no!!! I was such a sucker for my kiddos with that kitty in their arms. I didn't come home with one, but Chris and I agreed that we were going to get a kitty. We surprised them right after getting home from Pasco, and they were thrilled!

There has been significant regret by Chris and I, but she's not so bad. She has to put up with a lot of attention all day long by two kids who can't get enough of her.

A quick visit to Robb and Heather's...

Robb and Heather invited us to Pasco for baby Adeline's blessing at church. She is such a sweetie! Heather made her little dress and she looked so lovely in it. Can't you just picture this little one and my Betsey up to no good in two years? I can.

Emma is such a little looker. She's sharp as a tack and Alice and Ruby love playing with her!

Hailey is just ten months younger than Ruby, and they are in the same grade. She is constantly reminding me of Robb for some reason.

Carson is such a cutie. He always raises that question in my mind, 'what will happen if I don't have a boy next?' Boys are so fun!

We were down at a park on the Columbia River taking some pics for Heather's family and I got this pic of Robb, Heather and the kids. I'm playing with silhouettes lately. This one would have been better if I could have shot it from a different angle, but I had to lay down on the ground and shoot up at them in order to get the sky behind each of the kids. Otherwise their bodies were lost in the dark ground. Does that make sense?

We are so glad to have a growing family, I love my nieces and nephews and seeing my kids with my brothers' kids. We all have so much fun together.

Labor Day at Seaquest State Park...

We go camping every year with our old friends from the growing up years. This year we went to Seaquest State Park by Mt. Saint Helens. Unfortunately, the day we went to see the mountain up close, it was overcast and we didn't see much. Still, we had a wonderful time with our friends and their kiddos. The crazy thing is that Kelly and Danny's boys, Aksel and Maddox played non-stop with Ruby and Alice on their bikes and I didn't get many pictures! I guess that is the story of the past six months of my life because having a camera in my hands conflicts with having a sweet baby in my hands. So...these are the only pics I have!

Leisha reading smut mags with Bee. You can see, Bee was really interested in brushing up on the latest Hollywood gossip. Sandy brought this little bike for Addy and Alice had fun pushing Betsey around for a few minutes with me hovering really close. Kind of goofy.

We had two dogs along, Stone and Cash, who is Eden and Ben's baby (no really, they carry her to bed and basically treat her better than they treat themselves, hahaha).

Alice, Ruby, Aksel and Maddox (Maddox only sat there for a half of a second, but I got it!!).

The kids really are such good little buddies. Soon...next year, we'll have a few extras, all closer in age, because Betsey will have playmates in Sandy and Leisha's babies (both in "the oven" already on this trip...so they will only be like a year apart)!

The trip was so fun, I can't wait until next year...and actually, it's already time to start planning!
